Better prices
You'll switch to a new subscription plan. You can keep driving as usual, but you'll benefit from lower subscription fees, discounted hourly rates on weekdays and kilometre bundles.

This will change for your rate
Occasional becomes Regular
On Wednesday 18 November 2026, we'll switch your Soms plan to Regular. Your monthly fee will remain € 0, and you can keep driving as usual. Here's what's changing:
- You can cancel your booking free of charge right up until your trip starts.
- From 18 November, a fixed own risk of € 500 will apply per damage claim. You'll no longer be able to reduce or waive this excess in advance.
- You'll pay no starting fee.
- We're introducing a 10% discount on the hourly rate for trips from Monday to Thursday.
- The Day Deal is here to stay. We're also introducing kilometre bundles, making longer trips even more affordable.
- With Family, you can share your account with up to three additional drivers and get all your trip
Regular becomes PRO
On Wednesday 18 November 2026, we'll switch your Regelmatig rate to PRO. You'll still get 15% off hourly and mileage rates on car trips, just as you're used to. Here's what's changing:
- Your monthly fee will drop from € 10 to € 4.99.
- From 18 November, a fixed own risk of € 500 will apply per damage claim. You'll no longer be able to reduce or waive this excess in advance.
- Trips will no longer be shortened automatically. Instead, we're introducing a 10% discount on the hourly rate for trips from Monday to Thursday.
- The Day Deal is here to stay. We're replacing the 3-Day and 7-Day Deals with mileage bundles, making longer trips even more affordable.
- Have you added extra drivers to your Greenwheels account? From 18 November, your 15% discount can no longer be shared. Want your additional drivers to keep enjoying the discount? Upgrade to PRO+.
Vaak becomes PRO+
On Wednesday 18 November 2026, we'll switch your Vaak rate to PRO+. You'll still get 30% off hourly and kilometre rates on car trips, just as you're used to. Here's what's changing:
- Your monthly fee will drop from € 25 to € 14.99.
- From 18 November, a fixed own risk of € 500 will apply per damage claim. You'll no longer be able to reduce or waive this excess in advance.
- Trips will no longer be shortened automatically. Instead, we're introducing a 10% discount on the hourly rate for trips from Monday to Thursday.

Zzp Go becomes PRO

Business
On Wednesday 18 November 2026, we'll switch your Zakelijk plan to Business. You can keep driving as usual, and the fixed rates for your car trips will stay the same. Here's what's changing:
- Your monthly fee will remain unchanged at €40 excl. VAT.
- From 18 November, a fixed excess of €500 will apply per damage claim. You'll no longer be able to reduce or waive this excess in advance.
- Have you added extra drivers to your account? Nothing will change for them, apart from the name of their plan.
Business Special becomes Business
On Wednesday 18 November 2026, we'll switch your Business Special rate to Business. You can keep driving as usual, and the fixed rates for your car trips will stay the same. Here's what's changing:
- Your current exemption from subscription fees will end. Your monthly fee will be € 40 excl. VAT.
- From 18 November, a fixed own risk of € 500 will apply per damage claim. You'll no longer be able to reduce or waive this excess in advance.
- Have you added extra drivers to your account? Nothing will change for them, apart from the name of their plan.
Drive together with Family
With Family, you can easily add up to three additional drivers to your account. Simply invite them using a link or QR code in the app.
- All trips made by Family members are charged to one linked payment method and included on a single monthly invoice.

What will change from Wednesday 18 November 2026?
From 18 November, we're making sharing even easier! As well as Greenwheels cars, you'll also find Check cars, scooters and bikes in the Greenwheels app. We're also updating our subscription plans, lowering monthly fees for many plans and introducing new benefits, including weekday discounts and mileage bundles.
How do I access the new range of vehicles?
All you need to do is update the Greenwheels app via the App Store or Google Play Store. Once you've updated the app, you'll be able to see all the vehicles available near you.
Do I need to log in again or create a new account?
No, you can simply log in with your existing Greenwheels login details. All your information, such as your address, linked payment method and trip history, will be kept.
What do I need to do if I agree to the changes?
If you agree to the changes, you don't need to do anything. They'll automatically take effect on 18 November 2026. Please note: If you have a PRO plan with additional drivers, you may need to reconfirm your subscription in the app.
What if I don't agree to the new terms and conditions?
If you don't agree to the changes, you can close your Greenwheels account via the app.

What will change about my current rate?

Bookings, Own Risk and Driving
Can I reduce my own risk per trip?
No. We're introducing a fixed own risk of € 500 per damage claim. You'll no longer be able to reduce this excess in advance for individual trips, making the rules clearer and more consistent for everyone.
How does extending my trip work?
You can extend your trip through the app while you're driving, as long as there's no booking scheduled after yours. Already know you'll need more time before setting off? Simply cancel your booking free of charge and make a new one.
Can I rent other vehicles with the new app?
Yes! With the updated Greenwheels app, you'll have access to over 3,700 cars, 5,000 scooters and 1,200 e-bikes. Simply choose the vehicle that suits your journey, all in one app.
Can I take a shared car abroad?
Yes, you can feel free to take our cars abroad. From a weekend getaway to Belgium or Germany, to a few weeks at a campsite in France or Spain. Travel outside Europe is not possible due to insurance conditions. These are the European countries you are allowed to drive to with our shared cars:
Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark (excluding the Faroe Islands), Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal (excluding the Azores and Madeira), Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (excluding the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla), Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican City.Is the country you are going to not on this list? Then you are not allowed to drive there.
