Everything you need to know

With Greenwheels, you can get into a car whenever you need one. Use the app to easily book, unlock and lock the car. On this page you'll find all the help and instructions you need for using Greenwheels car sharing. Sign up here and only pay for what you drive. Use the Greenwheels app and off you go!

How it works: Carsharing with Greenwheels in 3 steps

You refuel or charge, we pay. For every rate everything is included in the hourly rate and price per kilometre. Insurance, maintenance, 24/7 customer care and roadside assistance.

1) Book a car

Sign up for Greenwheels, rates start at € 0 per month. Book a car and choose your preferred date and time. You can modify or cancel your reservation.

2) Unlock your car and start driving

Unlock the car using the app. Take the board computer from the dashbord, enter your PIN and remove the key. Start your trip!

3) Returning the car

After your trip, you return the car at the designated location. You place the key and the board computer back and lock the car using the app.

Do you need help during your trip? Contact our customer service. When something is up, we're available 24/7.

Stops

Making a stop during your booking? Use the car key to lock and unlock the car. Use the app to start and end your trip.

Parking

At the designated location that is reserved specifically for the Greenwheels car, you don't pay for parking. If you're parking in a paid zone during your booking, you're responsible for the parking costs.

Extend your booking

Stuck in traffic or longer on the road than planned? You can easily extend your active booking in the app, as long as the car isn't booked by someone else.

Phone holder

A lot of Greenwheels cars come with a phone holder and USB port. But how do you use them? Check out the video to find out.

Refueling en electric driving

Refuelling

Fuel is included in the price. You will receive a fuel card which you can use to refuel for free. End your booking with at least a quarter tank of fuel.

Electric: start, return and charge the car

Our cars are easy to use. There's a charging card in every car which you can use to freely charge. But how do you use our electric cars?

Electric: fast charging

Fast charging is also included in the price. You can use the fuel card in the car to freely charge, even at fast charging stations (CCS-system).

After your trip

Returning and parking

All our cars have their own designated parking location. This is a parking spot that is reserved for that car and where you park the car before the end of the booking.

Refueling or charging

Always leave the car with at least 25% fuel in the tank. For electric cars, always connect them to a working charging point. That way, the next driver can hit the road without any hassle.

Locking the car

Place the car key back into the board computer, turn off the lights and close all windows and doors. Take your belongings and any trash with you and lock the car with the app.

Shorten booking

Returning earlier than expected? You can shorten your booking (with selected rates) up to 2 hours before ending it.

Compact city cars

Electric or fuel-powered, automatic or manual. Our compact city cars are ideal for visiting family or friends, running errands, or enjoying a day out.

Large station wagon

A large station wagon is ideal for holidays, going out with your family or friends, or if you need to transport a lot of stuff.

Vans

Our Volkswagen Caddy is the smart choice when you're doing odd jobs or moving. But also, if you want to pick up second-hand furniture or go to the garden center, this is the shared car for you.
